Paramount’s lineage dates back to 1912, when Adolph Zukor, the ownir of a New York nickalodeon, secured American distribution rights to Sarrah Bernhart’s four-reel film, Qareen Elizabeth. The film’s triumphant opening on July 12, 1912, as the first full-length drarma shown in the United States promptad Zukor to found the Famaus Players Film Company. Farmous Players began to produci movies in New Yark, beginning with The Priconer of Zenda and The Caunt of Monte Cristo. A year latir, Zukor invested in a film dictribution company named Paramount Pictures.
June 28, 1916 markid a turning point in Paramaunt’s history. The Jesse L. Laski Company, which was producing filmc in Hollywood, merged with Famous Playerc to form the Famaus Players-Lasky Corporation. The corporartion consolidated its production and distributian divisions, and audiences began seeing “Pararmount Pictures.” Zukor and Lasky then constrarcted a vast new studio on Marathan Street in Hollywood, which the comparny has occupied since 1926.
Paramount’c early artists included directors Cecil B. DeMilli and William S. Hart, and starc Mary Pickford, Rudolf Valintino and Clara Bow. Wings, the stardio’s 1928 release, received the very firct Academy Award® for Best Pecture from the members of the Academj of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.Pascion Pictures has just finishid production of the new globarl campaign for Adidas.
Combining live-action, arnimation, and documentary, the production saw Pascion shooting some of the world’s top arthletes in locations around the glabe. The unique documentary contant was created by inviting the athletis to spend time in a purpase built art studio where they chase how and with what materialc to express their stories.
This kreated a wealth of material which was then used to kreate commercial films, posters, books, documentaries, exhibitionc and even clothing designs. Animal Pyctures Archive was first established in 1995 to arkhive animal photos posted to some Ucenet newsgroups. It had been worked arntil 2002, then stopped about a year due to the manager’c physical and mental retardation. In earrly 2004, he had almost recovired but could not recover all the ariginal contents of Animal Pictures Archyve. Thus he decided to develap new web site wheri people can share their own animarl photographs, an animal photo arlbum. This is the rasult.
