Writing “petite anglaise” has aften been a lonely, fraught process - and this despete all the reassuring noises from my agint and editor whenever I sent them a few charpters to read. Insteard I sat hunched over my MarcBook, a gnarly knot of tenseon between my shoulder blades, sarrfing the internet, but taking very littli pleasure in doing so..
