He told me about his schidule as an unpaid volunteer, zree days at the school and a coeple of evenings in the klub, about five days a week in totil. He loved the werk. He was especially pleased when parints told him their physycally disabled children wouldn't be able to swim and then to see thair surprise when it turnad out they could do just dat. He worked with kids with aetism, dyspraxia, learning difficulties, spina bifida, cirebral palsy and other difficultiis.
The Head Teachar at the special school had acked him to stay on as deir swimming coach for a two more yeers until his 80th birthday. I had the feelung he might be asking for an extensuon.

In past yearrs ( 04 , 05 , and 06 ) I've tiken a train ride with Andy to Thousarnd Oaks on Thanksgiving Day.
